Elephant finish and wip updates

 Hello everyone,

I hope you have had an amazing week. I have been busy stitching, sadly I didn't have a chance to ffo anything.

My finish:

My longest wip, elephant, is finally finished. I love how it turned out.

1st wip: 2nd part of Autumn SAL by Mr.stitch_mrs.needle. I love how the backstitch brings out the stitching. Tomorrow I will work on part 3.

2nd wip: Enchantress by Durene Jones in the JCS Oct 2021 issue.

3rs wip: Eeeek! It's Frank! By Tempting Tangles Designs. I am now working on the 2nd block.

Lastly, I completed my goal on Lucy Milton Sampler by The City Stitcher.

Happy Stitching!

Early October update

 Hello stitchy friends,

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the wonderful weather. Even here in sw Florida we are having cool weather, at least by our standards.

I have had several projects in rotation and even some new starts. I hope to come back by the end of this week with a huge to me finish.

So here are some progress pictures:

New Start: Eeeek! It's Frank! It was a mystery SAL by Tempting Tangles Designs. Here is part one finished.

I am stitching it on 28ct Monaco fabric with 12wt Sulky threads.

New Start: Autumn SAL by Mr.stitch_mrs.needle. It is free until October 15th. You do have to show progress pictures to get the next part but it is really fun. I have finished part 1 and currently working on part 2.

I had a random piece of 32 count linen in my stash. I just love the squirrel.

WIPS: Darth Vader by NikkiPattern on Etsy. I love the progress. I plan on stitching one thread a day until it's done.
It is stitched on 14ct black aida and 12wt Sulky threads.

I also put in some stitches on Baked Alaska by Glendon Place. I love the colors.

I am stitching it on 28ct Off-white Lugana.

That's all for now. Have a great day!

Happy Stitching,

Mary

My weekend updates

Hello everyone,

I hope you had a great stitchy weekend. My mom and I went shopping with my sister on Saturday to help her find a cocktail dress. I am happy to report we did and she will look beautiful.

I still made great strides with my wips.

My progress report:

Lucy Milton Sampler.  The 36ct is slowing me down but I love the simplicity of this sampler.

My elephant is going to be my focus on a finish. I am ready to get it done.

I have finished the tree and am working on the snowman on the right.

I forgot to show you the wreath I made for my mom about 3 weeks ago. She loves it.

This is the Halloween wreath I made today for my sister. I am having fun learning how to make them.

Thanks again for stopping by.

Happy Stitching,

Mary

Some WIP Updates

 Happy Friday y'all.

Hope you are getting lots of stitching time. I am participating in IHSW weekend hosted by Serendipitous Stitching.

Here are the starting points on my wips.

Elephant by True Colors.

My second wip is a new start from my birthday in June. It is called Lucy Milton by the City Stitcher.

My final wip is a 3 parts that I am putting together so I can make my first drum.

I am also going to work on a Halloween wreath for my sister. I have everything cut out so I just need to assemble it.

I hope you have a great weekend and I will check back Monday with a progress report.

Hugs,

Mary

A couple of wip updates

 Hi everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well. I have a few ipdates to projects I have been working on and a non stitchy finish.

The first wip is an Elephant from an old True Colors leaflet. I am d oing it on 28ct Vintage Country White with called f or DMC's.

Here is last week's update.

Here is this week's update.

This is my oldest wip and it is for my youngest son. There are a ton of color changes and I am finally getting into the rhythm into my stitching. I am hoping to finish it by the end of the year. I work on it Mon-Thurs.

This next update is about 2 weeks in between. This project was started in May 2023. It is for my middle son because he loves Star Wars.

Before

After

Once I finish the blue glass lens, I will have a page finish. I am stitching it on 14ct black aida and 12wt Sulky threads.

My last WIP.

I am sorry for the bad photo. I don't have a before picture but this is my progress. It is Baked Alaska by Glendon Place. I decided to do a conversion to various Threadeorx and DMC variations on 28ct off white Lugana.

Thank you so much for looking and have a Happy Labor Day weekend.

Happy Sunday

 Good Afternoon everyone,

How have you been since we last chat? Hopefully you are staying cool and have plenty of time to stitch.

I have had a couple of projects in rotation but I am going to show you a few of my finishes for 2023.

The first one is Golden Filigree by Arlene Cohen from Works by ABC. It was in the JCS 2020 ornament issue. I changed the colors and used Mo's Sale floss from my Stash and random beads. The frame was purchased from Amazon.

I made Vintage Angel by Tiny Modernist for my mom. It is from the JCS 2020 Ornament issue. The frame was purchased from the Dollar Tree.

I finally finished White Tigers from Stoney Creek. This was a learning experience.

The last one I will show you today is called Summer from Amy Bruecken and Wildflower Stitchery. I have the other seasons to do. It is from the JCS Aug 2008 issue. I mounted it on a frame I got from the Dollar Tree. It isn't 100% straight so I need a bow to hide the flaw. Overall, I am happy with this.

I have a few more to show you buy I will save it until next time.

Thank you for the comments and for looking.

It has been a long time

 Hi everyone.

I cannot believe it has been this long since I last posted. Now that I can do it from my phone, it will be easier to keep in touch.

We moved back home to Florida last year when my husband decided to retire.

My latest finish is Postcards of Love by Rosewood Manor. I used grey instead of black.

I finished Old Queen's Anne Lace by Nora Corbett. I did this finish for my sister's 50th birthday in July.

I can't wait to post more in the next few days.

Thanks for looking and Happy Stitching!

Mary
