April's Smalls SAL Check-in

Hi y'all,

Hope you are all having a great weekend.  My husband and I are still trying to get over the cruds.  I think mine has turned into sinus congestion but all is wonderful.

I am participating in a lovely Smalls SAL hosted by stitching lotus .  It is a lot of fun, go check it out if you enjoy stitching smalls.  It is low key, low pressure.

Here are some smalls I was able to finish this month.

I love making biscornu's.  I found some orange, blue and pink variegated floss at Hobby Lobby and was able to match up buttons and beads in my stash.  Here is the 1st one, I made the pattern as I went along.

I don't think I showed you this one but it was a free design that use to be on The Prairie Schooler's website a long time ago.

Lastly, this is called Hop Square by Lizzie Kate.  I haven't sewn the bottom closed (sorry).

Thanks so much for looking and have a great weekend.

My Theme-Tas-Stitch April Finish

Good morning everyone,

I am sorry I am late posting my finish but I caught some kind of cruddy mess late Thursday and I am finally feeling better today.  My doctor said it was almost like the flu. Yuck!  Unfortunately, I passed it onto my husband and he has to go out of town this week on business.  I felt so bad for him.  Oh well, we will be fine.

Thank you for KerryP77  at Ramblings of a Biscornu Addict for hosting this SAL. It is low pressure, lots of fun, and you can join whenever you want.

Well, I did a different take on April's theme and went with an umbrella, or parasol.  It fits more with the rest of my smalls and is very appropriate for April.

This is a freebie that can be found here.

Thanks for looking at my blog and have a wonderful week.

Happy Tuesday

Good Afternoon everyone.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter, Passover or weekend.  My 2 oldest sons have to try to raise money for Football so they did that on Saturday.  Other than that, it was pretty low key.

Now on to the good stuff.  A few weeks ago Cathryn over at Cathryn's Place Blog here had a giveaway and I was fortunate to win this chart by Lizzie Kate called Fall Y'all.  Cathryn is the designer for Blueladie Designs and she also has a wonderful message board here.

I can't wait to dye some fabric so I can start this.  I love fall and autumn.  Thanks again Cathryn for hosting the giveaway.

I have a 2 FFO's to show you.  These finishes are several years old so I am not sure of all the information, but I will try.  Please excuse the bottom of these finishes; I still need to hand sew them closed.

1st finish is an oldie from San Man Originals Design.  I found some plain green fabric for the back and it matches the color of the frog.

2nd finish was a free design from a Facebook group but not sure which one. This was done about 2 years ago.

Sorry the pictures are so dark but it is cloudy today and I don't get much sun in my house.

Here is an update on my WIPS:

Here is Cirque des Circle.  Gosh, is it hard to work on black.  I told my family that I can't do it anymore.  I am sure for small projects I will make an exception, just not right now.

I also pulled out this UFO and put it in my rotation.  It is called Butterfly and Roses by Marie Barber and was in the May/June 2012 JCS mag.

I also have a new start by Ink Circles called Cirque des Triangle.  It is on 32 dyed fabric by me and Carries Creation floss called Highland Hills.  Much prettier in person.

Thanks for looking at my blog. I'll be back on Friday 4/21/17 for Theme-Tas-Stitch check-in.
